AHPR is a student-run PR firm at the University of Oregon that provides students the opportunity to work with real clients to gain valuable hands on experience.

The NVC is an international MBA business plan competition that in 2009 will award winning teams  $90,000 in prizes. Over its 17-year history, this business plan competition has become one of the top three competitions in the world. A result of its intense academic focus and guaranteed interaction with multiple panels of judges in a professional format, the NVC is an unmatched experience for any start-up venture team.

Jeremy Liebman, a public relations major with an intent to minor in business, is currently working on the New Venture Championship project for AHPR. Jeremy also interned for the sports betting website http://www.sportsinsights.com as a blogger for the University of Oregon football team. Before joining the student-based firm in the fall of 2008, Jeremy graduated with honors from Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Ore. After high school, Jeremy was a member of the University of Oregon cross country and track and field programs, where he was a part of the Ducks’ 2007 national championship team. Jeremy’s interests include freelance writing, the Portland Trail Blazers, and non-fiction reading. He also enjoys attending various University of Oregon athletic events.

Kristen Brown, a senior Journalism major and Communications minor. She is from Hawaii and enjoys surfing and spending time with her family. Kristen currently works as a public relations and marketing intern at Southwest Washington Medical Center. Last term, she worked with a team of students for the Network Charter School, an alternative high school in Eugene, Ore.

Nick Johnson, a new addition to the AHPR team and the University of Oregon, is an advertising major preparing for graduation in the spring. Nick is in his first year with AHPR after transferring the U of O from Azusa Pacific University last year.  A former two sport athlete at APU, Nick has changed his focus to his future career in advertising. Nick has joined AHPR to gain experience working with real clients and the community.

Erin Williams, is a public relations, electronic media, and economics major at the University of Oregon who is ready to graduate this spring term. This is her second year working with the NVC and she is excited for NVC 2009 and all of the social media excitement around the event. She has worked as an intern at The Regence Group in the summer of 2007 and at Digital Trends during the summer of 2008.
